License Information

Dogs

All dogs within the city limits must have a City Dog Tag. The required tag is available for purchase in the Utility Office. Current vaccination records are required. The tag is good for 1 year running from June 1st to May 31st.

Fees

• Spayed or Neutered Dog: $3
• Unaltered Dog: $5

Boat Permits

The cost for a boat permit is based on the size of the motor.  All licenses issued for boats shall expire on December 31st of each year, regardless of the date of issuance.

Annual Permit Fees

• 25+ HP: $25.00
• 0-24 HP/Sailboat: $15.00
• Rowboat/No Motor: $6.00

Temporary Permit Fees (2 Day)

• 25+ HP: $10.00
• 0-24 HP/Sailboat/Rowboat/No Motor: $5

Utility Terrain Vehicle License

In order to operate a UTV within the City Limits, on public highways, streets, roads and alleys, you will need to acquire a license pursuant to Ordinance No. 3761. A license can be purchased in the Utility Office. All licenses issued for a UTV shall expire on December 31st of each year, regardless of the date of issuance.

• Replacement fee for lost, stolen, damaged, or destroyed license: $25.00

Requirements

• Official Inspection
  • Official inspection WILL be required if the vehicle has never been licensed with the City or upon transfer of ownership.
  • Official inspection is NOT required if you have previously obtained a license through the City for said vehicle.
• Proof of Insurance
  • Proof of insurance must be provided each year.
• Application
  • A UTV License Application must be completed each year.

Golf Cart License

In order to operate a Golf Cart within the City Limits, on public highways, streets, roads and alleys, you will need to acquire a license pursuant to Ordinance No. 3402. A license can be purchased in the Utility Office. All licenses issued for a Golf Cart shall expire on December 31st of each year, regardless of the date of issuance.
