Things You Can Do to Save Water in the Kitchen and Laundry
• Use your automatic dishwasher for full loads only
• Use your automatic washing machine for full loads only
• If you wash dishes by hand, don’t leave the water running for rinsing
• Don’t let the faucet run while you clean vegetables
• Keep a bottle of drinking water in the refrigerator
• Check faucets and pipes for leaks

Things You Can Do to Save Water in the Bathroom

• Check toilets for leaks
• Do not use toilet as an ashtray or wastebasket
• Take shorter showers
• Install water-saving shower heads or flow restrictors
• Turn off the water after you wet your toothbrush

• Water your lawn only when it needs it
• Deep-Soak your lawn
• Water during the cool parts of the day
