A gas pressure test is required to ensure there are no gas leaks in the lines. This helps ensure safety and avoid possibleexplosions. If pressure holds indicatingthere are no leaks, Codes will contact the gas company to restore service. If the test fails, a plumber will be required(unless this is an owner-occupied property) to find the leak and fix it. Codes should then be contacted for a secondinspection.
